FAST-BALLS PITCHING TRAINING VIDEOS

Below are links to videos demonstrating how to apply the 2-Seam FAST-Balls and 4-Seam FAST-Balls in your regular pitching training drills.  With repetition in using these training aids in these types of drills, pitchers at all levels will develop and sustain better natural skills necessary for pitching 2-Seam fastballs and 4-Seam fastballs.

4-SEAM FAST-BALL TRAINING VIDEOS

4-SEAM FAST-BALL: GRIP EXPLANATION

Forefinger and Middle finger placement:

  • One finger on Black side of 4-Seam FAST-Ball

  • One finger on White Side of 4-Seam FAST-Ball

  • Both fingers in the middle of the wide part of the panel

  • Finger tips on seams

Thumb placement:

  • Place thumb on under panel of 4-Seam FAST-Ball

  • Thumb should split forefinger and middle finger

4-SEAM FAST-BALL: WARM-UP CATCH PLAY TRAINING

When throwing the 4-Seam FAST-Ball into the air, look for clear and distinct Black/White “Half Moon” to determine successful throw.

  • Pitchers stand on level ground 30-50 feet apart

  • Throw 4-Seam FAST-Ball with fluidity

  • Look for Black/White Half Moon

  • Focus on Form and Accuracy

  • As loosening up, increase Speed and increase distance standing apart

4-SEAM FAST-BALL: PITCHER TRAINING ON FLAT GROUND

When pitching the 4-Seam FAST-Ball into the air, look for clear and distinct Black/White “Half Moon” to determine successful pitch.

  • Pitcher stands ahead of mound on flat ground

  • Catcher stands behind home plate

  • Pitch 4-Seam FAST-Ball with fluidity

  • Look for Black/White Half Moon 

  • Focus on Form and Accuracy

  • As loosening up, increase Speed and transition to the Mound

4-SEAM FAST-BALL: PITCHER TRAINING ON MOUND

When pitching the 4-Seam FAST-Ball into the air, look for clear and distinct Black/White “Half Moon” to determine successful pitch.

  • Pitcher stands on mound

  • Catcher is crouched behind home plate

  • Pitch 4-Seam FAST-Ball with fluidity

  • Look for Black/White Half Moon

  • Focus on Form and Accuracy

  • As loosening up, increase Speed

 

2-SEAM FAST-BALL TRAINING VIDEOS

2-SEAM FAST-BALL: GRIP EXPLANATION

  • Split fingers so each finger is just outside the Black/White borders on the Black

  • Version 1: Fingers CROSS the narrow seams;

  • Version 2: Fingers ALIGN ALONG the narrow seams

  • Finger tips on the seams
     

Thumb placement:

  • Place thumb on under panel of 2-Seam FAST-Ball

  • Thumb splits forefinger and middle finger

2-SEAM FAST-BALL: WARM-UP AND CATCH PLAY TRAINING

  • Pitchers stand on level ground 30-50 feet apart

Flat Ground Pitching

  • Pitcher stands ahead of mound on flat ground

  • Catcher stand behind home plate

  • Pitch with fluidity

  • Look for White 1-inch Line

  • Focus on Form and Accuracy

  • As loosening up, increase Speed
     

Mound Pitching

  • Pitcher stands on mound

  • Catcher crouched behind home plate

  • Pitch with fluidity

  • Look for White 1-inch Line

  • Focus on Form and Accuracy

  • As loosening up, increase Speed
